Features

Teeth Slice, Gullets Clear

Teeth Slice, Gullets Clear

Triple-ground teeth cut on the pull while deep U-shaped gullets carry wet sawdust out of the kerf, so the blade doesn't gum up in sappy green wood.

Steel Lock Holds It Rigid

Steel Lock Holds It Rigid

The gear lock seats into the blade tang with a crisp click. No side play, no up-and-down wobble, no chance of folding onto your knuckles mid-cut.

Folds Fully Safe

Folds Fully Safe

Press the lock, fold the blade, and every tooth disappears into the handle. It locks closed too, so it stays shut in a pocket or bag.

  • Taper-Ground Anti-Bind Blade

The blade is ground thinner toward the spine, so it slides through the kerf without pinching, even in wet green maple.

  • Chip-Clearing U-Gullets

Deep curved gullets between tooth groups dump sawdust every stroke instead of packing up on pine and willow.

  • Non-Slip Hooked TPR Grip

A tacky rubberized handle and curved rear hook keep sweaty, sappy or gloved hands from sliding toward the blade.

  • Triple-Ground 7 TPI Teeth

Each tooth is ground on three faces to slice wood fibers on the pull stroke. Let the saw do the work with almost no downward pressure.

  • 64–67 HRC Impulse-Hardened SK5

Only the tooth tips are flash-hardened, so they stay sharp through dry oak while the blade body stays flexible enough to survive a pinch.

  • Positive Steel Gear Lock

A metal lock clicks rigid at full extension with zero wobble, and locks the blade shut when folded. No plastic spring button to clog.

Care & safety

  • After cutting sappy wood, wipe the blade with a dry rag. For hardened resin, a little mineral spirits or citrus cleaner works well. Dry it fully before folding.
  • Put a light film of oil on the blade before long storage, and keep it in a dry spot. The hardened teeth can't be filed, so avoid cutting into soil, stone or nails.

Questions

Does it lock in both the open and closed positions?

Yes. The steel gear-lock button holds the blade rigid when open and also locks it shut inside the handle, so it won't swing open in a pocket or bag.

Are any teeth exposed when the saw is folded?

No. All 8 inches of the blade recess fully inside the handle channel, with 0mm of teeth showing.

Will it cut both live green wood and dry hardwood?

Yes. The 7 TPI triple-ground teeth and deep U-gullets cleared wet pine and maple sawdust without clogging, and stayed sharp through 50 cuts of seasoned white oak.

What's the thickest branch it can cut?

Up to 4.5 inches in diameter. It's fastest on limbs between 1 and 4 inches. It isn't meant for felling whole trunks.

Does it work for left-handed users?

Yes. The lock and grip are symmetrical, so it works the same in either hand.
