The Rillwerk One: piano-black plinth, aluminum platter with rubber mat, straight tonearm with knurled counterweight
Rillwerk OnePiano black, an aluminum platter and a straight aluminum tonearm. Not a toy – a real turntable.

Why Rillwerk

Between the suitcase player and the stereo rack, something was missing.

Suitcase players sound thin. Component stacks are a project. You just want to hear your records.

  • An Audio-Technica cartridge

A moving-magnet cartridge instead of the ceramic ones in most suitcase players – it tracks the groove more precisely and more gently.

  • No receiver needed

The phono preamp is built in. Run an RCA cable to powered speakers and you’re done.

  • Rip your records

USB to your computer, and your favorite album becomes a file for your phone or the car.

  • Steady spin

A solid plinth on chrome cone feet and a heavy aluminum platter for even rotation.

How it works

Three things that make the difference.

No audio degree required. Here’s what’s inside the Rillwerk One, and why it matters for your records.

01

A cartridge that takes the groove seriously

The Rillwerk One ships with an Audio-Technica moving-magnet cartridge on a straight aluminum tonearm. Set the counterweight once with the included guide – it takes two minutes, and then your first record is ready to play.

  • Knurled counterweight

02

Built-in phono preamp

A turntable puts out a very quiet signal, so it normally needs a separate preamp. The Rillwerk One has one built in.

PRE-AMP ON
For powered speakers or the AUX input on your stereo.
PRE-AMP OFF
For a receiver with its own phono input.

03

USB: your records as files

Connect the USB cable to your computer, open a recording app, and drop the needle. Now that album you love lives on your phone, ready to go anywhere.

What the Rillwerk One isn’t

  • Not automatic: you lower the tonearm yourself with the cue lever.
  • Not an all-in-one: no built-in speakers and no Bluetooth. It plays over a cable to your powered speakers or the stereo you already own.
  • No dust cover in the box.

Setup tips

Make your listening corner sound its best.

Three small things that make a big difference when you set up.

A woman sets a small round bubble level on the platter
Solid and level. A sturdy console, not a wobbly side table. Set a small bubble level on the platter to check that it’s flat.
A woman sets a bookshelf speaker on a stand next to the console
Keep vibration out. A heavy console is ideal. If yours shakes a little, put the speakers on stands beside it so the bass doesn’t travel into the stylus.
A woman holds a record brush to the spinning record
Brush first, then play. Dust is the stylus’s worst enemy. One turn with a record brush (there’s one in the Care Kit), then drop the needle.

Keep records and stylus in shape

  • Hold records by the edge. Skin oils pull dust into the groove.
  • Keep the stylus clean. Brush back to front, never side to side.
  • Use protective inner sleeves. Store records upright, never stacked flat.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Do I need a receiver or amp?

Not with powered speakers. The phono preamp is built in: connect powered speakers with the RCA cable and set PRE-AMP to ON. On an existing stereo, use ON for any line input (AUX, CD) and OFF only for a phono input. Passive speakers (no power cord of their own) still need an amplifier.

Does it have Bluetooth?

No. The Rillwerk One plays over a cable – RCA to powered speakers or your stereo. That’s the most reliable connection for vinyl.

How do I rip my records?

Connect the USB cable to your computer, open a recording app such as Audacity (free), drop the needle and hit record.

Do I need tools to set it up?

No. Seat the platter, loop the belt over the motor, add the mat, screw on and set the counterweight, plug in the cables – all by hand, in a few minutes.

Do I have to adjust the tonearm?

Once, during setup: turn the counterweight to the value in the quick-start guide. It takes about two minutes.

Does it come with a dust cover?

No. Drape a cloth over it after listening, or place it where little dust settles.

Is it automatic?

No, it’s manual: you lower the tonearm with the cue lever and lift it at the end of the side.

Is it a good gift?

Yes. It’s ready to play in minutes, and returns are open for 30 days after purchase.

What if it’s not for me?

Start a return within 30 days of purchase, even if it’s been opened and played. The refund goes back to your original payment method minus a $14 restocking fee. Email contact@cosarit.com.
