Built to Fix the Part Cheap Sharpeners Get Wrong

A bit only cuts when the edge sits higher than the heel. Every part of the EdgePro is designed around getting that right on the first try.

19 Graduated Sizing Ports

Precision-molded ports from 2mm to 13mm (5/64" to 1/2") in 0.5mm–1mm steps. Match the bit to the hole and it seats at the right depth every time.

118° & 135° Dual-Angle Guides

Use 118° for wood, aluminum and mild steel. Switch to 135° for cobalt, stainless and hard alloys. Both angles are built into the faceplate.

150-Grit Diamond Wheel

Industrial diamond electroplated on a flat steel wheel. It stays flat, doesn't groove and is rated for 1,200+ sharpenings.

Automatic 8° Lip-Relief Cam

An internal flute stop in every port holds the bit at 8° of relief, so the cutting lip always clears the heel. No charts, no calipers.

How the EdgePro Restores a Factory Edge

Match the Bit to Its Port

Match the Bit to Its Port

Pick the port that matches your bit size. The 19 graduated holes run from 2mm to 13mm, so there's no measuring or guessing.

The Flute Stop Sets the Relief

The Flute Stop Sets the Relief

Rotate the bit until the flute catches the internal stop. That locks it at 8° of relief against the flat diamond wheel, so the lip ends up higher than the heel.

Drill and Watch the Curls

Drill and Watch the Curls

Five seconds per flute, then drill. A correctly sharpened bit pulls two matching silver curls out of steel with light pressure.

Pulled twin steel ribbons out of 1/4-inch angle iron on the first try

I have three DeWalt cases where the 1/8, 3/16, and 1/4 bits are completely smoked, and I refused to buy a fourth full set just to get three sharp bits. Hooked the Cosari EdgePro up, dropped a smoked 3/8 bit into the port for five seconds per flute, and tested it on 1/4-inch angle iron without a pilot hole. It bit immediately and pulled twin steel ribbons right out of the hole.

Way faster than a $180 bench machine and zero plastic chuck alignment

I didn't want to spend $180 on a bulky dedicated machine or deal with that annoying plastic alignment chuck every time I need to touch up a 1/4-inch bit. The internal flute stop inside each hole on the EdgePro is the secret—it automatically locks the bit so you get actual back-clearance instead of a flat cone. Fits right in my tool chest drawer next to my drill index.

Sharpened a whole coffee can of my dad's 40-year-old USA Hanson bits

My dad left me a coffee can of 40-year-old USA-made Hanson bits that were all dull or blued at the tips. Sharpening the whole can in half an hour felt like printing $200 in my garage. If you can put a round peg in a labeled hole and count to five, you can put a factory edge back on a twist bit with this jig.

Breathed life right back into my M35 cobalt bits

Used it on my M35 cobalt bits that were skating across stainless steel brackets. Those cheap hex-shank pink stones wear a deep groove after three bits and leave the heel higher than the cutting lip so the bit just rubs and smokes. Five seconds per side on this electroplated diamond wheel and my cobalt bit bit right into the center punch mark.

Saved my small bits that I can't see well enough to freehand anymore

Freehanding a 1/2-inch bit on a bench grinder is easy enough, but anything under 1/4-inch is impossible for my eyes now. The tiny indexed ports on the Cosari EdgePro saved dozens of my 1/8 and 5/32 bits that I used to just toss in the trash once they dulled.

Saved a 30-minute round trip to the hardware store on Sunday night

Dulled my only 5/16 bit halfway through mounting a trailer hitch frame on a Sunday evening. Took maybe 15 seconds with the EdgePro to put a fresh point back on it and punched through the remaining four frame holes cleaner than when I started.

Diamond disc stays dead flat without trenching

Because the grinding disc is electroplated diamond on solid steel instead of a soft vitrified stone, it never wears a trench or loses its flat geometry. I've run at least 60 bits through mine so far—including some masonry carbide tips I needed to clean up—and the wheel still looks barely touched.

Works great on standard twist bits up to 1/2 inch

Does exactly what it claims on standard jobbers from 5/64 up to 1/2 inch. One tip: if you have a bit that snapped completely off at a jagged angle, grind the stub flat for two seconds before sticking it in the port so the flute stop indexes evenly. Once it's in the port, the relief angle comes out spot on.

No more smoking bits in hardwood or mild steel

I used to push harder and harder on my drill press when a bit got dull until the work started smoking. Touching up the cutting lips with the EdgePro before a project takes ten seconds and the bit feeds itself with minimal pressure.

Paid for itself in the first 15 minutes

Grabbed this while it was 50% off and went straight through my drill index. Brought back six 1/4-inch and four 3/8-inch cobalt bits that would have cost me $65 to replace individually. Dead simple design that actually gets the heel clearance right.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Cosari EdgePro actually grind lip relief, or just a pointed cone?

It grinds real relief. Each of the 19 ports has an internal flute stop that holds the bit at a fixed 8° relief angle against the diamond wheel, so the cutting lip always sits higher than the heel. We confirmed matched lips and clean heel clearance under a digital microscope.

What bit sizes does it fit?

Standard twist bits from 2mm to 13mm, which covers imperial sizes from 5/64 inch to 1/2 inch. It does not sharpen spade bits, Forstner bits or step drills.

Can it sharpen cobalt and carbide bits?

Yes. The wheel is 150-grit industrial diamond electroplated on steel, which cuts M35 and M42 cobalt and carbide. We ran 120 cycles, including cobalt and carbide, and found no groove in the wheel.

What do I need to power it?

A standard cordless drill or a 115mm/125mm angle grinder. The jig connects through its drive arbor. There is no power cord on the jig itself.

How long does each bit take?

About 10 seconds: roughly 5 seconds per flute. Our flat-ground 1/4-inch cobalt test bit took 12 seconds from completely dead to cutting.

What if it doesn't work on my bits?

You have 30 days to run your worst bits through it. If they don't bite into steel and pull clean curls, send it back for a full refund. Every unit also carries a 2-year Truemark workshop replacement warranty.
