Why open ears
Earbuds give you the music and take away the road.
- The cyclist or car you didn’t hear until it was right beside you
- Pulling out an earbud every time someone talks to you
- Buds that work loose mid-run, or ears that ache after an hour
- Sweat in the ear tips
Pacesong One moves the music onto your cheekbones and leaves your ears free for the bell, the car and your running partner.
How it works
Music on your cheekbones. Ears free for the road.
01
Two pads, one on each cheekbone
Each pad holds a small vibration driver. It sends your music as tiny vibrations through the bone to your inner ear: that’s bone conduction. Nothing sits in or over your ear canal.

02
Hear both at once
Because your ears stay open, outside sound reaches you the normal way: the bike bell, a car pulling out, your running partner, your name. Your playlist keeps going on top.
Open ears let you hear more around you; they don’t make the road safe. Keep the volume moderate and follow local race rules.

03
Light, simple, one size
At 25 g (maker’s spec), the wraparound band is built to sit still on a run or a ride, and the helmet strap goes over it. Three physical buttons under the right side handle play, calls and volume: no touch panel to mis-tap. One size; check fit and the return-policy conditions before ordering.

Fit tips from Jonas
Get the sound right in 30 seconds.
- Pads on the bone, not the ear.Slide them a finger’s width in front of the ear, onto the flat of the cheekbone.
- Glasses go on first. Then slide the hooks behind the glasses arms.
- Start at half volume.Louder adds tickle, not clarity.
- Loud gym or a flight?Put in the foam earplugs: the music gets clearer while the pads keep playing.

Questions
Before you order
Will I really hear traffic with music playing?
Yes, that’s the point of open ears: nothing blocks your ear canal, so outside sound reaches you the normal way. At high volume your music can mask quieter sounds, so keep it moderate near traffic. Open ears help you hear more; they don’t make the road safe.
How does it sound compared with earbuds?
Bone conduction is often suited to voices and podcasts. Sound quality and fit need to be checked on the production sample; bass can be lighter than with sealed earbuds. If deep bass is your priority, earbuds are the better tool.
Can people around me hear my music?
Open-ear headsets can leak sound, especially at higher volume in a quiet room. We have not measured sound leakage from a production sample.
Does it work with glasses, a cap or a bike helmet?
Usually, yes. Put your glasses on first and slide the hooks behind the arms. With a helmet, buckle the straps over the band. With a cap, the band sits below it. It comes in one size; check fit and return-policy conditions before ordering.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 6 hours at 60 % volume by the candidate manufacturer’s rating; louder listening means less time. A full charge over USB-C takes about 2 hours.
Can I swim or shower with it?
No. It’s rated IPX5 for sweat, rain and splashes, not for being underwater. Wipe it dry after a sweaty run and close the port flap before you go out in the rain.
Can I connect it to my phone and laptop at the same time?
No, it connects to one device at a time and reconnects to the last one you used. To switch, disconnect it on the first device and connect on the second.
Is it OK for my ears?
Treat it like any headphones: moderate volume, reasonable listening time. The sound still reaches your inner ear, so very loud music for long periods isn’t good for anyone’s hearing. If you have hearing loss or tinnitus, ask an audiologist. Pacesong One is not a hearing aid or a medical device.
What if it’s not for me?
Read the store’s return eligibility, sale-item exclusions and $14 restocking fee before ordering. Contact contact@cosarit.com for product help.
Is the video real?
No, it’s a dramatization made for this page to show the idea: with earbuds in she doesn’t hear the cyclist; with open ears she does. It is not a test or a real event.
