A compact 2.0 stereo bar: clearer voices and fuller sound than thin TV speakers, not a surround system.
Why Roomwake
There’s no room in a thin TV for real speakers, so they’re small and usually point down or backward, not at you.
Voices come from a bar that faces the couch instead of from speakers aimed at the wall.
News mode lifts voices so you’re not turning it up for the talking and down for the explosions.
Two full-range drivers and a bass port give music and movies more body than a thin TV can.
The optical cable in the box goes from your TV to the bar. No app, no Wi-Fi, no account.
How it works
Roomwake One sits under the screen and points two speakers straight at the couch. Then you choose how it sounds with one button.

17 inches wide and 2.5 inches tall: measure the gap under your screen first. Both drivers fire forward, aimed at the couch, not into the wall behind the TV.

Press the mode button on the remote to switch. There’s no screen on the bar, so you choose by ear: News is the one for talk-heavy shows.

Plug the included optical cable into your TV’s Optical / Digital Audio Out port and into the bar. Set the TV’s audio output to PCM. That’s the setup.

Before you buy
Two quick checks: the port on the back of your TV, and the space in front of the screen.
Look on the back or side of your TV for a small square port labelled Optical, Digital Audio Out or SPDIF. That’s where the cable in the box goes. No optical port? A 3.5 mm audio out or Bluetooth works too.
The bar is 17 inches wide and 2.5 inches tall. It’s sized for 32″–43″ TVs and works under 50–55″ ones, where it looks small. Measure the gap between your stand and the bottom of the screen: if it’s under 2.5 inches, the bar may cover the picture or the TV’s remote sensor, so wall-mount it with the included kit.
In your TV’s sound menu, choose the optical output and set Digital audio out to PCM. The bar plays stereo PCM; if the TV sends Dolby or DTS you’ll hear crackling or nothing.
Inside Roomwake One
Two full-range drivers aimed at the couch, left and right, for stereo.
A port on one end adds low end. No subwoofer in the box.
The maker’s power rating. We don’t quote “peak watts”.

News, Movie and Music, switched with one button on the remote.
Play music from your phone when the TV is off.
Add a powered subwoofer later if you want more bass.
The honest middle
Roomwake One isn’t trying to be a 7.1 system. It’s built for one job, clearer talking, for less money and one cable.

FAQ
No. Roomwake One has no HDMI port. It connects to your TV with the included optical cable (TV port labelled Optical, Digital Audio Out or SPDIF), with the 3.5 mm cable, or over Bluetooth.
Not always. Over optical, many TVs don’t pass volume to the bar, so use the Roomwake remote. The maker says Fire TV remotes work with it, and many TVs and cable remotes can “learn” it. Check your remote’s manual for learning mode.
It’s built for that: two drivers face you instead of the wall, and News mode brings voices forward. How much it helps depends on your TV and room. Review the store’s return conditions before ordering.
No. It’s a 2.0 stereo bar that plays PCM. Set your TV’s digital audio output to PCM. If you want Atmos and rear speakers, you need a bigger, pricier system.
At 17 inches wide it’s sized for 32″–43″ TVs. It works under 50–55″ and bigger TVs too; it just looks small there. It’s 2.5 inches tall, so check it doesn’t cover the bottom of the screen or the TV’s remote sensor.
No. The bar has a bass port and sounds fuller than thin TV speakers on its own. If you want more bass later, SUB OUT connects a powered subwoofer.
Use the optical cable rather than Bluetooth for TV, and set any “audio delay” or “lip-sync” setting on the TV to 0. Bluetooth always adds a small delay.
The maker rates it 40 W (2 × 20 W). Some bars advertise big peak-watt numbers; they aren’t a useful guide to loudness, so we don’t use them.
Yes, over Bluetooth 5.3. Switch the bar’s source to Bluetooth (the light turns blue), then pick it on your phone. Range is about 33 ft (maker’s rating).
No. The video at the top is a dramatization of how Roomwake One is meant to be used, made for this page. It is not a recording of a real home or a sound test.
